Trip Highlights

Etosha National Park

The journey begins in the famous Etosha National Park, one of Namibia’s most outstanding wildlife reserves. Known for its vast salt pans and diverse wildlife, Etosha offers unparalleled opportunities for animal observation. Enjoy the scenery at the waterholes, where elephants, rhinos, lions, and numerous other wildlife gather. Camping in Etosha allows you to experience the magical sunsets and the peaceful atmosphere of the African savannah up close.

Khaudum National Park

Next, the adventure continues to the remote Khaudum National Park, renowned for its untouched wilderness and harsh conditions. The deep sand and isolated location require a strong 4x4 vehicle and excellent driving skills, which is why only a few tourists visit this park. With our specially modified Land Cruiser, we are well-equipped to conquer Khaudum’s challenges. In the northern part of the park, we camp on a beautiful hill, offering an impressive view of the wilderness. At the waterholes, there are hides from which you can safely observe the wildlife. Camping in this remote setting promises an intense nature experience far from civilization.

Gcwihaba Caves

The journey continues to Botswana and the Gcwihaba Caves, a spectacular natural wonder. These caves, deep underground, are famous for their stunning limestone formations and their status as a UNESCO World Heritage site. Exploring the Gcwihaba Caves offers a fascinating contrast to wildlife viewing and allows you to discover the mysterious world beneath the earth. Wild camping near the caves enhances the sense of adventure and discovery in this unique and remote area.

Panhandle of the Okavango Delta

The adventure then moves on to the peaceful Panhandle region of the Okavango Delta, known for its meandering waterways and rich birdlife. In traditional mokoros (canoes), you glide silently through the delta, enjoying the serene beauty of the surroundings. This region offers you the opportunity to experience the unspoiled nature of the delta, away from the typical tourist routes. Camping in the Panhandle region allows you to fully appreciate the peaceful atmosphere and exceptional biodiversity of the delta.

Maun

Your journey concludes in Maun, the gateway to the Okavango Delta. Here, a special highlight awaits: a helicopter flight over the breathtaking Okavango Delta. From the air, you’ll get a unique view of the expansive waterways and the diverse wildlife. After this thrilling experience, relax in a tranquil lodge and reflect on the adventures of the past days before heading back home.
