Day 1 & 2: Arrival in Livingstone & Victoria Falls
After arriving in Livingstone, we transfer to Maramba River Lodge, picturesquely located on the banks of the Zambezi. In the evening, we enjoy a relaxing sunset boat cruise with a cocktail in hand, possibly spotting crocodiles and hippos as the sky glows in warm hues. On Day 2, we explore the famous Victoria Falls, visiting several viewpoints and optionally braving the Devil’s Pool.Day 3: Transfer to Kasane (Botswana)
After breakfast, we visit the Livingstone Museum to learn more about explorer Dr. David Livingstone. We then cross the Kazungula Bridge, which connects four countries, and arrive in Kasane, Botswana. In the afternoon, a boat safari on the Chobe River awaits, where we may see elephants, hippos, and many bird species. Overnight at the comfortable Chobe River Lodge.Day 4: Nata & Nata Bird Sanctuary
Today, we head to Nata to visit the Nata Bird Sanctuary, famous for its flamingo colonies and biodiversity. During a game drive, we encounter wildebeest, antelope, and other wildlife in their natural habitat. Overnight in the Ananda Safari Camper at the relaxing Nata Lodge grounds.Day 5: Lekhubu Island (Sua Pan)
We travel to the mythical Kubu Island, a granite island in the middle of the salt pans. Majestic baobab trees give the landscape a mystical feel and invite for a walk. As the sun sets, we enjoy the vast silence. Overnight under a spectacular starry sky in tents.Day 6: Kumaga (Makgadikgadi Pans National Park)
We cross the endless Makgadikgadi salt pans and reach the village of Kumaga on the Boteti River by afternoon. A game drive in the Makgadikgadi Pans National Park follows, where we might spot zebras, elephants, and lions. This unique landscape offers incredible photo opportunities. Overnight at a remote wilderness campsite.Day 7: Nxai Pan National Park
We explore the scenic Nxai Pan National Park, known for its seasonal zebra migrations. Depending on the year, the zebras may still be present. The park's open plains and waterholes are home to many predators. Overnight at Nxai Pan South Camp, enjoying the sounds of the wild.Day 8: Maun – Gateway to the Okavango Delta
We travel to Maun, where we stock up on supplies. This relaxed town is the gateway to the Okavango Delta. We use the time to prepare for the coming days and plan optional activities. Overnight at Mokolwane Riverfront Lodge.Day 9: Kazikini Community Camp
We drive into the Sankuyo Concession wilderness area and set up camp at a scenic site surrounded by nature. Wildlife is frequently seen near the waterhole close to camp – elephants, antelope, and possibly big cats. A great opportunity for wildlife viewing.Day 10: Third Bridge (Moremi Game Reserve)
Our safari takes us deep into the Moremi Game Reserve, one of Botswana's most wildlife-rich areas. Lions and leopards are often seen here, along with various antelope species. We explore the diverse landscape on an exciting game drive. Overnight at Third Bridge Camp, located by a lagoon.Day 11: Camp Moremi (Moremi Game Reserve)
We continue our adventure through Moremi and get to experience the Delta from the water. A boat safari through the channels allows us to observe hippos, elephants, and many bird species. The water scenery offers fantastic photo ops and a unique insight into the delta ecosystem. Overnight at the comfortable Camp Moremi (Lodge).Day 12: Khwai Hippo Pools (Khwai Concession)
Today we head to the Khwai River and visit the Hippo Pools, with the chance to see hippos and perhaps crocodiles up close. The open landscape offers excellent wildlife viewing. Overnight at a camp directly on the riverbank.Day 13 & 14: Savuti (Chobe National Park)
We spend the next two days in the famous Savuti region, known for its large elephant herds. Our game drives explore the dry savannahs, searching for lions, leopards, and wild dogs. The area’s striking rock formations offer breathtaking views. We stay at the Savuti Campsite and enjoy the wilderness.Day 15 & 16: Kasane & Chobe National Park
Returning to Kasane, we enjoy two relaxing days at River View Lodge. Optional activities include another boat cruise on the Chobe River, spontaneous game drives, or simply wildlife viewing from the terrace. Alternatively, we can unwind by the pool. A perfect ending to our safari.Day 17: Return to Livingstone (Zambia)
We depart early for the return to Livingstone, marking the end of our journey. Extra days in the area can be added if desired. Airport transfers can be arranged.
