Trip Highlights

Day 1: Arrival in Cape Town

Upon your arrival, you will be warmly welcomed and transferred into the vibrant city of Cape Town. We begin with a relaxed visit to the Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden – one of the most beautiful botanical gardens in the world, showcasing the unique Fynbos vegetation. Afterwards, we settle into the city and take in our first impressions of its cultural diversity, natural beauty, and unmistakable atmosphere.

Day 2: Cape Town & Cape Peninsula

Welcome to the true southern tip of Africa – the Cape region. We begin at Table Mountain before exploring the Cape Peninsula. In Simon’s Town, we visit the penguins at Boulders Beach. We end the day with a sunset drive along Chapman's Peak Drive – one of the most spectacular coastal roads in the world. The Cape region is a global biodiversity hotspot, home to the unique Fynbos vegetation found nowhere else on Earth.

Day 3: Cape Town – Hermanus – Klein Karoo

We travel along one of the most scenic coastal routes towards Hermanus. After a short walk along the cliffs, we continue through striking landscapes into the interior. Beyond the mountains, we enter the vast Klein Karoo – a rugged semi-desert landscape defined by openness and silence.

Day 4: Desert – Mountain Passes – and Coast

A true highlight awaits: the drive over Swartberg Pass. We leave the wide open landscapes behind and descend towards the lush coastal regions, continuing on to George, surrounded by mountains and coastline.

Day 5: Jungles of the Garden Route

Today we explore the Garden Route. In Knysna, you’ll experience lagoons, forests, and the iconic Knysna Heads. We walk along quiet forest paths and rivers before continuing to Gamtoos Mouth, where river, sea, and vast dune systems meet. We camp right in the middle of this natural setting – a perfect place to unwind, explore, or simply take it all in.

Day 6: Gamtoos Mouth – Addo Elephant National Park

We leave the coast behind and travel inland towards Addo Elephant National Park. In the afternoon, we head out on safari through rolling bushveld terrain. Addo is home to an incredible variety of wildlife – from elephants, lions and buffalo to marine life along its coastline – making it one of the few places on earth where the “Big 7” can be found.

Day 7: Addo – Hogsback

We continue our journey inland, leaving the open bush behind as the landscape gradually transforms into forested mountains. Arriving in Hogsback, we ease into this magical setting with a first short walk through the surrounding forests.

Day 8: Full day Hogsback Exploration

Today we fully explore Hogsback – a place of forests, waterfalls, and misty mountain views. We take on one of the area’s most beautiful hikes, leading through lush vegetation to hidden waterfalls and scenic viewpoints. For those interested, we also visit a peaceful local shrine, adding a reflective element to the day.

Day 9: Hogsback – Xhosa Kingdom

We travel back towards the coast through changing landscapes until we reach the Wild Coast region. Along the way and upon arrival, you gain a genuine insight into Xhosa culture – not staged, but real and personal. We organise something truly special: this is about connection, not tourism – an authentic and deeply human experience.

Day 10: Bulungula – Coffee Bay

We continue along the coast through traditional Xhosa villages, where colourful homes and thatched roofs define the landscape. Arriving in Coffee Bay, the atmosphere becomes relaxed and open – a place to slow down and connect with the ocean.

Day 11: Full day Coffee Bay Experience

Today is yours to fully experience Coffee Bay and its surroundings. We visit the iconic Hole in the Wall, a striking rock arch rising from the ocean. The rest of the day is about slowing down: relax on the beach, take long coastal walks, try surfing, or simply enjoy the rhythm of this laid-back place.

Day 12: From the Wild Coast to the Drakensberg

We leave the coast behind and travel inland over a series of scenic passes. The landscapes change constantly – from rural coastal regions to rolling hills and eventually back into mountainous terrain.

Day 13: Underberg – Sani Pass Experience

Today brings a true adventure as we drive up the legendary Sani Pass. At the top, we reach over 2,800 meters above sea level and take in the vast mountain landscape right at the Lesotho border. This remote highland region is home to the Basotho people, known for their resilience and unique mountain culture.

Day 14: Drakensberg to – Newcastle

We leave the mountains behind and travel through the rolling landscapes of KwaZulu-Natal towards Newcastle. The scenery opens up again, offering wide views and a sense of calm as we continue north.

Day 15: Newcastle to Waterfalls of the Panorama Route

We travel towards the escarpment, where the landscape rises dramatically once more. Today we visit the beautiful Berlin Falls and the impressive Lisbon Falls, both surrounded by lush vegetation and offering spectacular viewpoints into the surrounding landscape. It’s a day of waterfalls, fresh mountain air, and the first glimpse into the dramatic scenery of the Panorama region.

Day 16: Panorama Highlights and Kruger National Park

This morning we explore some of the most iconic viewpoints along the Panorama Route. We visit God’s Window, followed by the fascinating Bourke's Luck Potholes and the magnificent Blyde River Canyon – the largest green canyon in the world. After taking in these incredible landscapes, we descend back into the Lowveld and continue towards Kruger National Park.

Day 17: Full day in Kruger National Park

Today is fully dedicated to exploring the vast wilderness of Kruger National Park. From early morning until late afternoon, we are out in the bush, following tracks, observing animal behaviour, and experiencing the rhythm of nature. With its immense size and diversity, Kruger offers everything from open savannahs to dense riverine forests. This is where patience meets reward – where every moment can turn into something extraordinary.

Day 18: Morning Safari Southern Kruger

We start the day early with one final morning game drive in Kruger National Park – a last chance to experience the magic of the bush at sunrise. Afterwards, depending on your departure time, we transfer you to the airport. You leave with unforgettable memories – from the vibrant Cape to the wild heart of Kruger.
